This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge

• Article submission in Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat (JIKM) is free of charge.
• Authors are charged a handling fee of $ 35 (500,000 IDR) for each accepted manuscript in Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat. 
• Articles are freely available to public.

Authors are discouraged from withdrawing submitted manuscripts after it is in the publication process (review, copyedit, layout, etc.,). During the time, JIKM had spent valuable resources besides time spent in the process. Should under any circumstances that the author(s) still request for a withdrawal, author(s) should pay back every effort put into the manuscript processes at an amount of IDR 500,000,-. Paid upon official withdraw request from the author(s) in an email sent to JIKM's editor using the same email address used in correspondence.
